LOCATION

The Palmeras ranch is located in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta 1 hour by car from Santa Marta within the municipality of Ciénaga, close to the rural area of La Caribe along the main highway between Cienaga and Bucaramange close to the entrance to the town of Palmor. In this area families have traditionally dedicated themselves to cattle and banana.  In addition to traditional farming, tourism is a growing activity in this area.

From the main highway one can comfortably walk the 2.8 kilometers (1.7 miles) to the Palmeras ranch. As it sits its accessible by motorbike and with a minor investment accessible by car.
